From Gran Canaria Airport first take the motorway GC-1 in the direction of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Without changing direction and leaving various exits to Telde behind, keep left as you are approaching a four-lane section, without taking the right-hand ones marked Avenida Marítima that follow the coastline and where you should not go. Continue the left-hand ones marked Circunvalación branching into the GC-3 ring-road towards Gáldar. Leave this motorway after about 4 kms, at an exit to the GC-4 towards Tafira. When that motorway finishes, after about 3 kms at a roundabout, you will have to take the GC-15 (formerly: GC-811) towards Santa Brígida and then continue in the direction of Tejeda leaving San Mateo behind.
